House Portrait

This is a house portrait. Probably the house in it tipped you off to that already... ;-)
This was done on 11"x14" Smooth Bristol paper. It's mixed media, because I used graphite pencil, colored pencil, and pastels in it. I love pastels for making the sky and grass look dreamy and soft.

It was a Christmas gift from the daughter to the family. They have moved from this house but the family has a lot of great memories of this home.

Colored pencil portrait little boy - age regression

I worked on his hair and his skin tones. I found a great set of 24 prismacolor colored pencils - specifically for people portraits - there are colors in this set that I didn't even know existed, so I am excited to create some better work. It won't make me a better artist instantly, but it never hurts to have the right tools.
